Kristin Fischer will join CNN as CNN's Space and Defense Correspondent in July 2021. As the Correspondent for Defence and Space at CNN, she has covering everything from NASA and its newly created Space Force up until commercial space firms, as well as the advent and growth of space tourism. Kristin, her mother was one of NASA astronauts as well as an enthusiastic space lover has spent her entire childhood in the industry. She served for five years working as the White House correspondent for FOX News covering space policy under the Biden and Trump administrations. The reporter also reported on the presidential election in 2020 and the efforts of two administrations to fight the coronavirus. Kristin traveled extensively, including both the vice president and president. She was even on a top-secret trip to Afghanistan along with Donald Trump. Kristin was a TV local reporter in Grand Junction, Colorado, Little Rock, Arkansas, Washington, D.C., where she earned the Emmy Award for her work as an "one-man-band" reporter, before being hired by CBS in 2015. Kristin started Field Mouse Films with her skills behind the camera back in 2014. Field Mouse Films specialized in producing documentaries for corporate clients such as Uber as well as Starwood Hotels & Resorts. Kristin holds a Bachelor of Science in Journalism which she received from Boston University. She lives in Washington, D.C. with her husband and three year old daughter.
